I travel. Often.
I work primarily on the east coast and my husband works on the west coast. I fly back and forth. How’s that for a commute?
I spend plenty of time on airplanes. Can I just say that business class rocks? I occassionally get to rock out in business class when I’ve earned enough upgrades by slogging it out in economy.
When I work…I work super long hours. And I come home and cook very bachelor dishes. I celebrate bachelor…bachelorette. I have proof.
PBR in a can and sliders seasoned with worcestshire, s & p…that’s proof!
NO I didn’t measure! Bachelorette week….geez…get with it!
I also have more ladylike moments………..like when I decided to try this year’s Beaujolais Nouveau……Georges Duboeuf….that’s kinda girly, right?
Well…maybe it’s unisex but let’s roll with it like we have upgrades and are gonna get a sundae and freshly baked cookies before we land.
I fly American Airlines. Home of the business class cookie.
I like the Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau 2010. Just to maintain the solo bachelorette week vibe……I had it with meatloaf and a side of cauliflower that I simmered in chicken stock and butter then seasoned with salt, pepper and ground cumin and finished with cream….sprinkled with bacon.
NO. I didn’t measure. Geez. I’m a bachelorette this week…….see that wine splash on the counter? See the unhidden screw top?
Here’s what I have to say about the GD Beaujolais Nouveau…..
Good. Dry but not at the very first sip. Dry comes later and stays strong.
I taste berries, bright at the onset then suddenly thin and gone. There’s a strong acidity that quickly overcomes the initial berry. Maybe that doesn’t sound so good but I enjoyed the journey.
This wine is a teenager which is expected. There’s a beauty in teenager. It’s hard to admit. They cop our style and think they’ve discovered it.
Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau tastes impatient, vibrant, sincerely overstated. It’s talking a bit loud at first so give it 20-30 minutes and it’ll settle down.
I’m no expert. I’m just telling you what I taste.
Now I have to go watch some bad tv. It isn’t often I get full control of the remote.
Wish I had a business class cookie. That wouldn’t hurt a person.
