it ain’t easy being green

kermit and fozzie miss the old new yorkMy sister tested my recipe for Green Goblins twice. She rocks, right?

Test results: two omitted details. Whoops.

Mistake number one: an odd absence of baking powder in the ingredient list and thus no measurement information. She caught this within hours of my post so I hope no-one else had a green hockey puck moment.

Mistake number two: I forgot to tell you when to add the vanilla in the frosting instructions.

The recipe and instructions for Green Goblins has been corrected. It’s matcha better…ha!

This must be some sort of cosmic payback since in my post about these devil’s food cupcakes frosted with vanilla buttercream

…I wrote about how my mother purposely omitted ingredients when people asked for her recipes.

Well played, universe.

I’m reviewing all my posted recipes this week to check for errors. If you ended up with green hockey pucks or a confusion over when to add the vanilla please accept my apology.

And if I owe you an apology then I also want to thank you for trying my recipe!

You get jazz hands for that!

  1. In the early days of blogging, I missed an ingredient and “anonymous” out there in the internet world advised me of it. Kind of embarassing, but I now make sure I give plenty of time to review and post. You get the “jazz hands” back for admitting and correcting the error! Your mom is subconsciously getting back at you for publicizing her secret.
Both of these cupcakes look delicious-the first especially.
Hope you are having a great weekend!
